Technology Today Episode 7

Episode 7: It's finally here. The reason for the delay is because I've been transfering the files to a new server to spped up download times and other stuff. Today I cover Apple's Mighty Mouse, the world's biggest countdown, Best Buy pisses people off, anti-firefox schools, etc....

It is possible for a school's network to 'not be compatible with Firefox'. If, for example, they are using Cisco Clean Access for authentication to the network, they could configure it to not support Firefox. Now, CCA is technically able to support Firefox, however, if the school did not configure CCA to work with Firefox, then technically... they would not be lying by saying that the network "does not support Firefox."

Is there a reason to configure CCA to not work with Firefox? Well that is debatable. Anyhow, you can circumvent this but editing your user agent string.

thanks for reading my comment! i had to submit it anonymously because i work at a university and we have a media relations policy. i wonder how or if that covers blogs/podcasts. Might be something interesting to look in to.
anyhow, i dont want to be mistaken for speaking for "The University".
